Assessing Brennan Johnson's first year at Tottenham – has he been a success?
This summer, Tottenham Hotspur have made several signings in different positions, but they have not added a new right-sided attacker. Some fans are frustrated by this, preferring a more established player in that role. However, Brennan Johnson, who has started both of Spurs’ opening Premier League games, is highly valued by head coach Ange Postecoglou. Johnson fits Postecoglou’s tactical plans as a winger who stays high and wide, stretching the play and creating space for others. Last season, Johnson showed his importance to the team with consistent performances and respectable numbers in goals and assists. Despite his solid contributions, Johnson still has room to grow and gain confidence as he enters his second season with Tottenham.
